Chilling in the sept.

Shawn Would be relaxing sweat and grease on his face and hands laying down in one of the more wild areas with grass, He would be laying down on his back writing in a journal. Waiting for anyone to greet him. the galliard just relaxing from his busy work day.

Duplicity wanders in to the green space for an easy stroll, his pitch black lupus form carrying him easily on the soft grass. Eyeing the strider from the corner of his eye, he trots over to see what the other garou was up to.

"What are you doing out here all on your own? Poetry or something?" The shadowlord asked casually as he approached, simply trying to start a conversation.

"Relaxing after a hard days work. Writing story ideas memorys the best out there but this helps fuel the creative process. Sup bubba?"

Duplicity tilts his head slightly. "I don't know much about writing stories or such as that, I personally prefer to exercise or meditate. Though I wouldn't expect any less from a galliard like yourself." When he paused to sit, he lifted a leg to scratch an itch before refocusing his attention on the strider before him. "So if I may I would ask to hear what stories you may have. Surely you must have some rather interesting ones?" he questioned. In all reality he needed to see who the best galliard was outside of his beta, to decide who he would give his own stories to in the future.

Duplicity would hear him coming.  The sound of foot steps across the grass, smell of sticky rice and spices.  Soon enough  Tenzin would appear.  Walking with a bowl of food in his hand and a pair of chopsticks behind his ear.  He gives a curt smile before turning his stride to walk in their direction.  He gives a light nod.

"Greetings, it's a pleasure to meet two more members of the Sept.  I am Tenzin known as Claws-of-Balance, Homid, Philodox, Stargazer.  Pleasure to meet you.  May I join you?"

Duplicity's right ear tilted to the approaching footsteps, before actually turning to the newcomer. "Claws-of-Balance you say? It's a pleasure to meet others that call this place home. I am Duplicity. Born of sin under Luna's full glory. Cliath to the nation chosen by Grandfather Thunder. Alpha of pack Heartbeat." The shadowlord sat with his head high, proud of his heritage. His twin tails swayed peacefully, casually showing his deformity. "Personally I do not mind you joining us, we were just chatting after all. "

"Shit bro pull up a seat grab a beer though you should split one with me. Nice to meetcha names shawn known to the nation as no shit there i was. The best strider galliard this side of the river. Not a member of the sept offically yet but ya know how tests go. And duplicity to respond. Im trying to come up with motivation stories for those kids that duncan is helpin. You wanna hear a tale tell me an idea whatchu wanna hear."

He shifts up on his butt sitting up straight

The Philodox looks at the two while they spoke, taking careful note of what they said or didn't. He eyes Shawn a bit longer than Duplicity as though expecting him to say more then finally sets down with his bowl of rice. He takes the chop sticks and begins to eat, enjoying his meal. As he digs down into it, you'll begin to see beans hidden under the rice.

"How about the tale of your deed name."

Duplicity grins as he looks between the pair, more at the stargazer than the strider. A philodox would be a good addition to his pack, and once Miaka would become cliath, he would have all the auspices covered with a multitude of tribes. A perfectly balanced pack should all go smoothly.

"Well well, it is an interesting deed name. I wouldn't mind the tale myself. Though I do prefer those with a moral mind you. Claws-of-Balance, as for you I would like to speak in private later on if you would not mind. The result may be of great benefit."

Shawn leans back a bit more and smiles as he pulls out a small charm with the strider symbol on it.

"Well I guess it all started when I first changed, i'll take the story short but I was born to a single mom layed with a wandering strider didn't know who my pop was. But I ran track I always felt that need to travel I listened to everyone the fights during school i'd run around and spread it every conversation the term came up "No that's bullshit. No shit there I was." But as I kept traveling I encountered a leech to sum it up man with fangs the works. tried to fucking bite me and he got ahold and I well. went through a my first change and I passed out in my truck and then a Egyptian man approached me. I ran he caught me but I was able to scramble away even as a cub was fast on my feet. but he told me about the leech. "No shit I was there." was my only reply as I kept running from this odd guy. well he caught up and tackled me still got a good punch on his face knocked out a tooth. I kept traveling with this guy while he began to educate me in the ways of the nation. and then my rite of passage came up which was to travel around 5 states and get 5 stories from humans similar to me travelers which I had to do in the real world, I found a trucker company as a way to travel without just walking. every few states I found a good story to tell I gathered my 5 favored always sharing mine with them. always starting it with my lovely catch phrase. "No shit there I was." well little did I know a spirit was watching me do everything and when I finally reported back the first words to my teacher "No shit I was there" reporting every tragedy that had happened in the year it took me to complete my rite. Again every single tale that I was apart of "No shit there I was." I took pictures of everyone I gathered tales from and I keep them in my truck to remind me that I'm not alone not the only traveler. then my company's main base transferred here and while this is my main hub I do always travel out. I'm here for like 2 sometimes 3 days a week."

Tenzin listens in silence and enjoys his meal. Finally finishing it, he set the bowl and chop sticks to the side. He nods a few times.

"I thank you for the story. So what made you decide to settle down here? Or is this just a stop off for you before continuing on? I've heard that the Silent Striders do not like to settle down and prefer to continually wonder in between the Septs delivering news. From your deed name I would think that you would prefer to stay on the move."

"Well for the most part i'll still be traveling but the main hub of my job is based here so i'll be making regular trips in and out so I can still travel. but I can also stay if your sept alpha allows it. it's more or less i'll hafta stay here til I can leave since this is where I get the work done and all that fun jazz. But it's funny isin't it? But we striders will never truly stop traveling until we have our home reclaimed but it's even funnier when you look at it this way. Striders by their nature are solitary by all the traveling we do lone messengers but Garou are creatures of packs Territory and family. Funny when you look at it that way. Thing is also you don't need to be in a cearn grounds or the territory of the sept to be a member of the sept. galliards travel all the time messengers of the nation, though another funny thing. This lovely spirit network we have started carrying all these messages for us, just talk to a single spirit and everyone knows poof done ya know? I think it would be interesting to hang around for awhile."

"I see. I've heard of the spirit network but yet to actually join in on it yet. Something tells me it's full of things that will just cause the blood to boil. However I guess it's my duty. As a Philodox I should take note of such things and see how the character of the nation holds." Tenzin stops a moment to chuckle. "Then again I'm just curious about it."

Duplicity listens as the pair speak, more listening than anything. "I propose a bit of a different topic." The shadowlord gave a sharp grin. "I would like to offer a potential place in my pack. If either of you would like the chance we can speak more on it. Personally I would like to have a couple more watchful eyes and calculating minds."

Duplicity stands tall, his pride showing easily on his face. His gaze was sharp and calm as he watched to see what the others would say at this point; several things crossing his mind. 'Two potential pack members. If I play the cards right I will have what I need to make this pack near perfect. The strider likely won't be interested, he was too offput by me during the games. Claws-of-Balance however... I have a feeling he he will be of great use. It's a roll of the dice right now.'

"No offense bubba but I feel like I just met you so i'm going to scope out the only 2 packs before I think of which one I want to join or pursue, Thanks though."

He lays back down

Well he was straight forward, Tenzin had to give him credit for that one. He looked the Pack Alpha over and took a breath before responding.

"Well Duplicity, tell us about your pack. What is it's name? What is it's purpose? Who are you packed under? Who are your packmates and what are their tribes and auspices?" He questioned. "No offense but it's rather foolish to join to a pack without knowing anything about it." Tenzin advised, trying to impart some wisdom to his sept mates.

Duplicity chuckles softly as Claws-of-Balance starts handing out questions. Shawn turning him down wasn't anything to be surprised about. Now, he focused on the philodox before him. "Foolish to one who does not think. I can save time by ruling out those who aren't wise enough to ask questions."

The shadowlord shift up to that of his natural crinos state and points proudly at his chest, directly over his heart at the thundercloud sigil. "We are patroned by Typhon. Our goal is to assess and rid the city of its unnatural issues. There are far more threats than just the wyrm out there my friend. Needless to say we won't be neglecting Gaia's sworn foe, but simply covering all bases." His eyes narrow as he continues. "As far as the others, I feel it would be better to introduce you to them. They are a rather interesting bunch and would be far more exciting than a slight explanation. The key note is that all we really lack is a philodox. So how about it? I would love to have a new addition to the family."

Tenzin thought on the Metis' responses before taking a breath to give his response.

"I am sorry but with the answers given I must say no.  I will not join a pack that I know almost nothing of especially when I know almost nothing of you or your pack mates.  I mean no disrespect Duplicity but I feel also that you are more concerned with my auspice than me.  Though I understand why you would want a Philodox in your pack, all packs should want one.  I feel you should be more interested in the man behind the moon I guess I should say.  For all you know I have mastered every loophole and trick around the litany or how to apply it to any small deed to force punishment.  I could also be the opposite and be a Paladin of the Litany and enforce it's words without mercy upon any who dare breach it.  Anyway this over winded answer I have given shall end here with this.  No, for now.  I will possibly reconsider once I have met more people of this Sept and decide to either join an existing pack or possibly create my own.  Either way gentlemen I bid you good day."  Tenzin scoops up his bowl then hops up on his feet.  "Thank you for your time.  Perhaps I will get to have more lovely conversations with you in the future."

With that Tenzin turns on heel and heads towards the elevator.

Snake eyes.

Duplicity crosses his arms in a slight annoyance. Sure, he could have thrown out the basics of the others. Though something as that was too bland for his taste. He needed a touch of excitement when he didn't smoke, a little something to keep the conversation interesting. Though the denial of his offer was annoying, the fact that this wouldn't be easy excited the ahroun. He would get what he wanted, after all, he was a shadowlord.

The ahroun followed him into the elavator and pressed the button for a different floor. "I will see you soon my friend, very soon." Was all he said as he stepped off.
