Silly man dancing in a silly park

Post by Marcell on Thu Mar 09, 2017 9:42 pm

Inside the Oregon District, right on Hess Street, anyone that may be walking past during the day would see an athletic, attractive man dancing in exercise clothing while singing

He's really not the best dancer from the looks of things, but he seems somewhat happy.... with a touch of melancholy.

If your Character has met Marcell you would recognize him after a few moments, as he is not wearing voodoo make up or trappings

Diana paused on her walk and adjusted her glasses. She was sure she was going the right way. She'd gotten smacked by a flyer earlier in the week informing her of a new voodoo shop opening up. Which she'd found extremely convenient and useful since she had yet to learn of other places to purchase certain items she would need. Currently she didn't have any money to purchase them but it would be nice to know where to get things when she was able.

Checking her phone she figured she would arrive way earlier than she'd told Tenzin she would in the note she'd left him. She would have preferred to call him or leave him a text message but she hadn't yet gotten a way to contact him yet. Not that it would have worked if he'd been on the Sept anyways so she'd left him a note on his locker. She wasn't sure he would want to come look at the place but she thought he might be able to find something there. Surely his tribe had rituals and things that would need supplies and he could find them here. Totally could be wrong and this place might have absolutely nothing helpful but it never hurt to look.

Being early wouldn't be a problem. She could just wait outside and people watch for a while. Going in with out him would be rude. Besides she might have wait a while to determine if he would show or not. If he didn't then she could peruse on her own.

After she started walking again she heard someone singing. Curious she looked around for the source of the voice.

The man would finish the song with a bitter sweet smile (he was singing Pop Evil'spirits If only for now )
As he finished he would hold his hands to his heart, whispering to himself almost as if finishing a prayer.

He would playfully jump at the attention of the young lady,
"OH my.... forgive me if did not notice you there petite... I do hope that my horrid singin' and worse dancing didn't ruin your fine day."

Diana would chuckle and shake her head at him "You were perfectly fine sir. I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb you, I just head the singing and was curious" she smiles warmly at the man.

She appears to be 16. Short brownish red hair and glasses. Currently wearing an orange sweater and jeans with a backpack slung over her shoulders. Not sure if he'd noticed the purebreeding or not but Purebreed: Uktena x3

He would tilt his head to the side curiously, almost as if he was looking at something not there.....
"Oh no petite... your just fine. I had just finished mediating the conversation when you arrived. Seems things worked out just fine and everyone has moved on to rest or where they should be. Permit me the honor of introducing myself, and possibly escorting you to your destination?"

He would offer her his hand most politely

Diana would look to see what he's looking at "I-I'm sorry but mediating what conversation?" she'd adjust her glasses and glance around to see if she missed noticing someone. The Theurge didn't see anyone who looked like they'd just finished a conversation and were walking away. "But no thank you, I'll be fine walking on my own. My destination isn't terribly much farther"

He would seem confused for a moment and then express rememberance or possibly revelation.
"Ohhhh very true, mes excuses petite, I forgot, you and yours tend to keep to the more... natural side middle ground."

He would stand up straight and give her a bit more room for her comfort,

"Tell me petite, would you think me a crazy middle aged fool if I told you that I speak to the restless dead and try ta help them move on and find peace? Think of mah self as a...... Creole Ghost Whisperer.... with more bourbon."

She would smile and shake her head "No Sir, I would not think you a fool for speaking to the dead. I would find that very admirable. Someone needs to speak with them after all in the hopes they can move on. Other ways are not so pleasant, or so I've heard"

He would chuckle and nod,

"so you've heard huh... Well, today was a day of bonne chance. Those two just be lost lovers. Pulled apart for sure, but dat poor fella.... he just wanted to be heard by her is all. Seems this was 'there spot'...... least in his mind. So where you heading to in The Oregon petite, no offence intended, but ya seem a touch young to be drinking."

"Oh no, I don't drink" she'd pull her phone out of her pocket and check the time again. There was still some time before she should get to the front of the shop to meet Tenzin, she usually tried to be early and she could afford to spend a few more minuets talking to this guy with out worry of being late. "I'm meeting a friend and we're going to explore some of the local shops is all" Instead of putting her phone back she'd keep it out in her hand "So things worked out with the lovers then? What is it he wanted her to hear, if you don't mind me asking that is..."

He would raise his eyebrow in a playful and coy manner,

"Checking out shops huh.... don't suppose this has anything to do with dat mysterious, yet dashingly hansom new Voodoo shop huh.."
"Oh.... I wouldn't use the word lovers per say. Well, he certainly wanted them to be lovers. Seems he was a touch too clingy.... bordering on oppressive. Seems he killed her by way of imprisonment, then of course there was his suicide, his regret as a ghost blah blah blah... kids getting creeped out at da park. It made mah morning run just a touch gloomy. All handled now though, seems he just wanted to apologize, he just needed to be reminded..... you a coffee fan petite?"

The girl actually looks a bit put off by his short story "So...it was a murder/suicide ghost haunting the park? That's a bit unnerving...I'm sure those who frequent the park will be most happy that he's gone now" The man seemed nice but him suddenly asking if she liked coffee was a bit unsettling to her. "N-no I'm not really a fan of coffee. I should probably get going now though. I don't want my friend to worry about me..."

((Yup totally aware that she's just going to run into your char again hehe but she doesn't know that))

Unfortunately it wouldn't really get started tonight since most people I know on here are out tonight. I am too I have no life lol. But I'll start it in a minute. If his char doesn't show up then it'll just be ours again till someone else wants to join))
