Ringing in Spring [Ostara] Empty Ringing in Spring [Ostara]

Post by Elisebeth Mon Mar 20, 2017 2:14 pm

In the green space, Elsa can be seen sitting at a table with many eggs around her and a paintbrush and multiple paints. She seems to be coloring eggs and there is a separate table with roasted rabbits and a large bowl of a salad that has mandarin orange slices in it. There is also a cooler full of craft beers that all taste slightly of fruit or flowers.

Her decorated eggs range from viking runes, to traditional 'easter eggs', to funny little drawings such as mustaches or cartoons. Upon closer inspection the eggs have been drained of their yolks and hot glue covering the hole. It is unknown what is filling the insides of the egg. [If anyone breaks it, let me know].

She will greet anyone who enters warmly and offers them to grab some food and help paint some eggs if they would like.

Data pulls up to the table and politely nuzzles Elsa as a greeting. He sniffs one of the eggs with tiny animal drawings. Popping into a human, he points at it while looking at her quizzically. He adheres to her offer and grabs a paintbrush. With just a bit of difficulty, he decorates an egg.
"Why?" he asks, gesturing at his egg and the others, "A birth... day?"

She grins at Data as she begins another egg, one with geometric patterns this time. "Yep! Well, kinda. It is for celebrating spring being here, and eggs are a symbol of fertility," she explains. "We did something similar in Iceland, before the Christian religion took over and adopted our ideas so that way people would convert and celebrate Easter," she says and shrugs.

"It's also just fun," she grins as she finishes up one side of the egg and turns it around, the paint on her fingers made it clear that she wasn't necessarily the 'cleanest' painter. "Later on, you hide them in a scavenger hunt and whoever wins usually gets a prize or whatever is inside of the eggs. Though I wouldn't recommend that you do it right now. It spoils the surprise inside."

Diana would enter the green space. She's planned on just enjoying the scenery and drawing. However she was pleasantly surprised to see that there were others in the area. Smiling Dia approached the others and greeted them while she eyed what they were doing
